Oh hello, holiday crazy human!
It’s me again —professional travel buddy, window-seat hogger, and founder of the Good Habits Club (frequent flyer edition). Today’s meeting is being held from a snuggly towel in the boot of your car, because apparently “you’ll only be five minutes” (spoiler: it’s never five).
Now listen. I love a good holiday. New smells. Weirdly shaped sticks. Strangers who say “what a good boy!” even though I definitely just peed on their beach towel. But let’s get one thing straight:
Travelling with us takes planning. And habits. And yes — supplements.
So before you forget my essentials but remember your noise-cancelling headphones, let’s go over some very good doggo travel prep.
Porkie Pie’s Packing List (aka Don’t Forget Me)
- My Porkie Pie supplements (gut, cardiac, calm — I need to look good in holiday snaps)
- Treats & chews (bribes, basically)
- My regular food (don’t try “local raw diet” unless you want to meet a regional vet)
- Familiar blanket or bed (I travel best with home smells)
- Poop bags. ALL the poop bags.
- Lead, collar, and ID tag with current info
- A comfy crate or seatbelt harness (safety first, even if I look silly)
Trainer Tip: Create a travel tub just for us. Supplements included. When it’s always ready, you won’t forget the important stuff — like my supplements that stop me from dropping mystery bombs in the Airbnb hallway.
Good Habits Club: On the Road Edition
Habit Stack Your Way to Holiday Success
Use the same daily routine you do at home. Morning coffee? Give me my joint support. Evening glass of wine? Pop that calming treat. Good habits don’t stop just because you’re off the clock — in fact, that’s when we need them most.
Keep It Consistent
Sudden changes in food, routine, or even water can upset our tummies. So give our guts a fighting chance: pack our Porkie Pie gut support and give it every single day — even when you're “too tired from the hike.”
A Note from Porkie Pie: The Real Reason It Matters
Travel can be stressful — for us and for you. But when you keep up our wellness routine, it makes everything smoother. Fewer belly dramas. Less anxious pacing. More time for beach zooms and café pats.
Because I’m not just your dog — I’m your family. And when you prioritise my wellness (even on the road), it shows me I matter. That I’m more than just a tagalong. That I’m your little mate — for life.
From the Cushion in the Backseat
- Daily supplements? Don’t skip them, even on holiday.
- Good habits = less stress for all of us.
- Pack smart, plan ahead, and don’t forget the treats.
- Your habits shape our future — even in a tent or in a caravan park in Dubbo.
